The Vampire's Revival - Horror films of 1970

So, starting from now on, we're just going to have a blog post for every year. Because...it's a lot of films. And it'll be hard to keep them straight at some point. So, here's what we watched, and our faves at the end with a comment question after! Ancines Woods: This one was such a tough find. When we did, it was a fun serial killer film. It's coded as focused on lycanthropy, but don't expect any actual werewolves! The Blood on Satan's Claw: This was a fun folk horror film, a la Wicker Man. Very sexual and pretty violent, too. Plus, we got to see a demon! Pretty fun plot all around. Dunwich Horror: I was really skeptical of watching our first Lovecraft film. Lovecraft relies so much on the unseen, the indescribable, that I was anxious seeing his work put in a film version. But I actually enjoyed that aspect. The "creatures" had fun silhouettes of indeterminate species, and the sound effects reinforced that. Pretty well done. Terrible plot otherwi...

More reboots but new stories too! - 1968-69

We did finish the 1960s in horror! Personally, I think some of the best films of the 60s were in these last three years, so I'm super excited to talk about them!!! 1968 Night of the Living Dead: I had never seen this movie, but I knew it was considered the start of the modern zombie film. I knew it was in B&W and that it had a Black protagonist but that the director had said that was really just incidental. And I knew at least part of the film had the protagonists trapped in a house. That said, there was a lot I really didn't expect, like the twist of an ending, the ironic dialogue at the start of the film, and the setting up of character archetypes in modern zombie films. All in all, a pleasant surprise. The Devil Rides Out: This was a fun Satanic film by Hammer. Was different seeing Lee in the protagonist role, but it was really enjoyable seeing a furry devil, and it had some fun plot elements that were pretty unexpected. La Marca del Hombre Lobo: For a foreign film that...

Hammer, Sequels, and Monsters! - Horror films from 1966-67

We are actually up to 1970 in our film list, but I realized I was a couple of blog posts behind! So here's our general thoughts on the films we watched as well as our faves at the end! 1966 The Deadly Bees: As someone squeamish about bees, I was a bit anxious going into this one. Despite a couple of scenes, it was pretty okay though. Plot was a bit predictable, but most importantly, it was a fun film. Naked Evil: This was your typical voodoo film. The film had some interesting beats to it, but predictably it was pretty racist. The She Beast: This was weird. Made me think a bit of El Baron del Terror. Had that "evil from the past in modern times now" plot (a la Dark Shadows). It had a cool antagonist though, too. The Plague of the Zombies: Hammer's attempt at a zombie film was interesting. Called back to the old 30s and 40s zombie films in some ways but also felt like an adventure film in other ways. Ebirah, Horror of the Deep: For an underwater monster, I wish we had...

Fun Day in September

Image
In catching up, I notice we did a small photoshoot for our usual furry sex game in September I hadn't posted about yet! So here's the results of that. The first pic was by Bada. It had us standing up, kissing, and me jacking Sin off. That sexy patterned underwear though~ The next piece by Tsaiwolf let me keep jacking Sin off in bed. He definitely wasn't complaining. He's so sweeeet. The third pic by Delirost got us into some musk play. And I always like licking Sin's balls too. I know one of his favs is just jacking off while I'm licking him down there. Mmmf, tasteh~ Next, I got to service Sin with some head through a pic by Rika.   Mmm double tasty. A pic by Jinash had me rimming him too!   Triple tasty Next, a piece by BulgeMonster got me back to rimming with some rusty trombone action ;) Damn, I love this boy's ass. The seventh pic by Banglow is one of my favs. I love being fingered while I'm sucking. More specifically, I love when both my holes are ...

Why You Should Have Sex with HIV+ People

CW: suicidal threats Hiya! If you don't know me, I'm Howl, and I'm a person living with HIV. I got it on January 7, 2015. And I got immediately on meds. I'm going to wager a majority of you don't know what "on meds" really means. Some of you imagine a million pills a day. Some of you imagine it keeps it under control barely, but I can still spread it and might die soon. That's probably what a lot of you think anyway. But here's the reality: My meds make me what's called "undetectable." This means I CANNOT spread it. Period. This isn't a 1% chance or a 0.5% chance. It's just zero. Don't believe me? Check the CDC article on it here . Look, it's so understood to be true in the medical community that some states are working on changing disclosure laws so that people who are HIV-undetectable aren't required to disclose their status for sex. So, I want to get to the rationale behind that, but let me tell you what does su...

5 Things I Hate About Hookup Apps

Okay, if you're reading this, chances are that you've been here before, and that unfortunately, a lot of these might be relatable. Before I get into my Buzzfeed-style list, let me clarify a few things. First, I have a love-hate relationship with hookups. For me, they're such a hassle, and trying to get a hookup can be super draining. But at the same time, I've had my fair share of really fun ones! So, I keep diving into the pool lol. Second, your mileage may vary. Who knows? Maybe most of the things I complain about are unique to people living with HIV. Who knows? Third, these items are in no particular order. If this post gets enough views, I'll probably make another one soon with another five. And some of those might piss me off even more than these five! And these are all just off the top of my head from my experiences. So enjoy! 1. Completely blank profiles. Look, I get it if you need to be private or downlow or whatever, but it's frustrating when I get a m...

The Campy Years of Horror - 1963-65

Sin and I just finished watching the horror movies on our list from the years 1963-65. So now let me talk about what all we saw, and we'll put our favs at the end! 1963 Dementia 13: This was a good one. Felt like one of the first "true" slashers ever, and it definitely had some Hitchcock elements. I love the axe murderer in this. It was a pretty good serious horror film. I'd recommend it. The Haunting: Bleh. I found this boring personally. Even with its hints of lesbianism, it just wasn't that interesting to me. Such good source material, but they butchered it beyond belief. The Birds: This one was a blast. I didn't know what to expect going in to it. It was my first time seeing it. I had seen other Hitchcock films. But I had only ever seen horror birds in Birdemic! I was actually surprised by how much I enjoyed this film. Black Sabbath: This was a fun Italian anthology film! I'd recommend watching it just for The Telephone. It was a pretty fun film and r...
