1975 - Creepy Crawlies!

We finished our list of 1975 horror, and we were pretty impressed! Not quite as good as 1974, but still pretty good. And heads up, we will be watching Rocky Horror, but we're going to a shadow cast performance of it in a couple weeks. There will be a review again of it and some other 1970s films we'll be watching retroactively. But for now, here's what we watched in the list! ^^ As usual, our faves are at the end. Shivers: This Cronenberg film was our first in the marathon! I appreciated it was a film about sexual disease, even if it's a bit conservative / slut shamey. It was a very cynical film, and it had some definite moments of unrealisticness. But the creature design was fun, and it was pretty entertaining! I can see the appeal of Cronenberg already! I think when I first saw it, I assumed it was "another b&w film of the far-off past," not realizing the homage/parody aspects of it. But yeah, great film. Especially if you've seen the musical, too! Abby: The Blaxploitation version of The Exorcist. Was MUCH better than Exorcist though lol. The possessed person was an adult, and it made it actually a lot creepier. The violence felt more real, and the threat felt more menacing. I do recommend it! Demoniacs: This was a French film. Rape and revenge style. But it was so surrealist, so it really just felt like an...
