More vampires and proto-slashers! - 1971 horror
Finished 1971! Film is really starting to get more entertaining, even as it increasingly gets campier. So here are the films we watched for this year. Blood and Lace: A major inspiration for Halloween, this film had PERFECT twists, and I'd recommend this to anyone into fucked-up, convoluted stories. Requiem for a Vampire: A cheesy erotic vampire film, but not really worth the watch even as a bad film. Dracula vs. Frankenstein: For a versus movie, it was all right. The vampire look is increasingly getting queer, so that's fun. The plot was all right except for the middle. The House that Dripped Blood: This was a cheesy little anthology film. Had a couple really good supernatural pieces, especially about a demon child! Despite the title, it's not really a haunted house film. Lust for a Vampire: The second of the Karnstein films. I actually really enjoyed this. It's such a fun trilogy, and I enjoyed the school setting of this film. It was just all around enjoyable. Twins...
